Contest Description
Rules and Regulations For Wild Card Entries

1. You are a wild card entry if you participate in the EduSmith Essay Writing Competition through the post or e-mail.

2. The EduSmith National Essay Writing Competition is organised by VC Publications Sdn Bhd, the publishers of the EduSmith magazine.

3. The contest will run in two languages namely Bahasa Malaysia and English.

4. The EduSmith Essay Writing Competition is open to Secondary Students of Malaysian schools. The Bahasa Malaysia Competition is open to Students of Secondary 1 to 3 while the English category is open to students of Secondary 4 to 6.

5. Wild Card entries may participate either through e-mail www.hitz.fm or post your entry to:

6. All essays must be the original work of the writer.

7. Applicants may submit more than one essay, however, only the best essay will be considered.

8. The English essays should not exceed 500 words while the Bahasa Malaysia essays should not exceed 300 words. Essays can be handwritten or typed using Microsoft Word for Windows (double spacing).

9. Applicants must accurately fill the entry form and submit it together with the written essay.

10. All essays submitted will not be returned.

11. All essays must reach us before the 29th of June 2007.

12. Short-listed participants will be selected to attend a free seminar titled ‘The Power to Succeed’ which will be followed by the essay writing test.

13. VC Publications retains exclusive rights to publish the essays in future publications of the EduSmith magazine.
