Contest Description
Singapore Tourism Board ("STB") and National Geographic Channel ("NGC") maintain this web site ("Web Site") and are responsible for this promotion.
You can access and use this Web Site only if you agree to and accept the following terms and conditions applying to your use ("Terms and Conditions") without limitation or reservation. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before accessing and browsing this Web Site. You may download material displayed on the Web Site for your non-commercial, personal use only. Additionally, you may not modify, reuse, report, or use the contents of the Web Site for public or commercial purposes, including the text, images, audio, and video without STB's and NGC's written permission.
STB and NGC reserve the right to cancel or amend the contest mentioned on the Web Site ("Contest"), the Contest Notice or these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted either within the Contest Notice or these Terms and Conditions.
By entering the contest, all entrants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to abide by these rules.
Entrants
1. The contest is open only to residents and permanent residents (who are 18 years or older as of 20 March 2007) of Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong SAR of China, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, India, Korea, Philippines, China, Indonesia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives, Bhutan, Nepal, Myanmar, Cambodia, Brunei, Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu, Fiji, Tahiti, New Caledonia, Mongolia, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Algeria, Bahrain, Benin, Burkina Faso, Caucasus countries, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Iran, Iraq, Ivory Coast, Jordan, Kenya, Kuwait, Libya, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Syria, Somalia, Sudan, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda, United Arab Emirates, Yemen and Japan.
2. Employees of NGC and STB, or any associated companies, and members of their families, and anyone directly associated with the competition are not eligible to enter.
3. Entrants can enter the contest only as specified in these terms and conditions and the contest entry form.
4. Winners will be expected to provide NGC & STB, with the form of proof of identity in its sole discretion requests.
5. Failure to comply with any of these terms and conditions (including instructions) will disqualify any entrant from taking part in the contest and the entry will be invalid. NGC and STB retain sole discretion to refuse entrants the right to enter if it feels that these terms and conditions are being broken.
6. NGC and STB reserve the right to disqualify any entrant and/or winner and/or amend these terms and conditions at any time in its absolute discretion.
Entries
7. To enter, entrants must answer the question/s set out on the NGC and STB survey. Surveys must be submitted online only and be received by 8 August 2007 ("Closing Date"). Only one survey is allowed per person. No calls to NGC or STB will be accepted. Any entry received after the Closing Date will be invalid.
8. No other purchase is necessary for entry in the contest.
9. Any entry made giving another person's (or a false) name or other dishonest information will be disqualified.
Prize Winner
10. The winner will be chosen from those entrants who have answered all the survey question/s, and whose answer to question (Describe in no more than 100 words: Your idea of a unique holiday experience.) is judged the best and most creative.
11. Each entry shall be considered and judged individually by the Head of Marketing at NGC. The decision of this contest is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
12. The winner will be announced on www.ngcasia.com/uniquelysingapore on 3 September 2007. The winner will also be notified separately by email and will be required to acknowledge by return email before 17 September 2007. STB and NGC reserve the right to deal with all unclaimed prizes in any manner deemed fit.
Prizes
13. The prizes in the contest may be subject to variation at the discretion of NGC & STB, and any change will be final and binding upon every person who enters the contest.

15. Prize must be consumed by 31 December 2008. Booking is subject to availability for flights and accommodation.
16. The prizes for this contest will be given to the winner as set out in these terms and conditions. The winner must accept their prize in that form. Under no circumstances will cash be given as an alternative. The prizes are non-refundable and cannot be transferred.
17. Winner will be liable for any taxes or surcharges that may be levied on contest prizes and for any expenses not specified in the description of the prizes.
18. NGC and STB shall not be liable in any way for any failure or breach by any party in connection with this contest, prize or prizes and accepts no responsibility for any loss suffered by an entrant arising from this contest, prize or prizes.
19. In all cases NGC and STB will not be held liable for a prize if it does not reach the winner for reasons beyond its control.
20. The winner will be asked to provide a testimonial about their trip and possibly photos and /or footage of some aspects of their visit to Singapore. The winner agrees to assign all intellectual property rights of the testimonial/pictures submitted to NGC & STB. As such, NGC and STB will have full rights to the testimonials/pictures usage for any above and below-the-line marketing activities and any other activities worldwide for a period of 2 years. Thereafter, NGC & STB would still have rights to the pictures usage for their promotional purposes. In addition, winners may be requested to participate in public relations events tied to the campaign to generate press coverage of the contest. This may include, but not be limited to, quotes given for inclusion in press releases and press conferences, interviews, etc.
Publicity and Personal Data
21. By entering the competition, each of the entrants agree:
(a) to the use their name and/or likeness, without compensation, for NGC & STB promotional and marketing purposes; and
(b) to the use of their answers to the questions and/or tie breaker for NGC & STB promotional and marketing purposes.
Miscellaneous
22. Entrants indemnify NGC, STB, its agents, employees, representatives, associates, affiliates, parent and subsidiary companies against any and all claim, losses, costs, damages, liability and expenses arising out of the entrant's breach of any of these terms and conditions.
23. Each entrant by entering this contest, expressly releases NGC & STB from any claim, action or demand arising out of or in connection with the contest or their prize, if any.
24. NGC and STB will not pay for the tax & charges incurred with this promotion.
