myZone Web Design Contest

Terms and Conditions

1. myzone Web Design Contest (“Contest”) starts at 12 midnight on 16 March 2007 and ends at 12 midnight on 15 September 2007 (“Contest Period”). Entries received after the contest period will be ineligible for the prize draw.

2. Employee of eChannels - Maybank, appointed committees, sponsors, dealers, retailers and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate in the contest.

3. The Contest is open to all Maybank Savings/Current Account holders.

4. To participate in the contest, the participant (“Contestant”) has to:
i. Design a mock of myzone web pages (2 pages) as follows:
• myzone Main page
• Content page (Banking)
ii. Ensure the design to contain the following:
• myzone logo
• Maybank2u.com logo
• Tagline: It’s my account, it’s my freedom
• Login button
• Promotion Section
• Highlight Section
• Banner Advertisements
iii. Ensure the design format should be as follows:
• jpeg or jpg only.
• Total sizes of 500KB
iv. Submit the design together with their name and contact number to rmsechannels@maybank.com.my

5. Selection of the winners will be based on the following:
i. Judges Decision – Top 8 designs will be selected by committee members determined by Maybank.
ii. Vote – The Top 8 designs will be published at myzone or/and Maybank2u.com for voting. The design with the highest vote will win the Grand Prize, the 2nd and 3rd highest vote will win the Gold Prizes and 4th to 8th highest vote will win the Classic Prizes.

6. Maybank reserves the right to disqualify any incomplete/illegible/unsuccessful entries.

7. The prizes for this contest are:
i. Main Prizes
1 x Grand Prize (1st place) – PC/Console worth RM 8000
2 x Gold Prize (2nd and 3rd place) – Console/Music Player worth RM 1500
5 x Classic Prize (4th to 8th place) – Electronics Gadget worth RM 500
ii. Additional Prizes (If winners are IM Teen account holder and MyZone user)
1 x Grand Prize (1st place) - Handphone worth RM 2000
2 x Gold Prize (2nd and 3rd place) - Handphone worth RM 1000
5 x Classic Prize (4th to 8th place) - Handphone worth RM 500

8. Each winner is entitled for one (1) Main Prize and one (1) Additional Prize only

9. The winners’ names and IC numbers shall be posted in myzone or/and Maybank2u.com and they will be notified by telephone/e-mail or whichever method Maybank deems fit.

10. Maybank reserves the right to forfeit prizes from any Contest winner who does not provide the required details upon receiving the request/notification from Maybank.

11. Maybank will not be held liable for any mishaps, injuries or accidents that may occur in the redemption or use of any of the prizes in this contest.

12. Prizes are not transferable and may not be exchanged for cash. Maybank reserves the right to substitute the prizes with other products of similar retail value without prior notice.

13. Maybank reserves the right to request written proof of identification, age and residence of any Contest winner before the prize is dispatched or collected personally.

14. Maybank makes no warranties or representations whatsoever with respect to the prizes and shall not be responsible nor liable for any problems and/or damage thereto or arising therefrom.

15. By participating in this Contest, participants agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions herein and the decision of the judges.

16. Maybank further reserves the right to cancel, modify, suspend or delay the Contest.

17. In the event of a prize giving ceremony, the Contest winner(s) are required to attend at his/her own cost and expense to collect the prize. In the event the Contest winner is not able to attend the prize giving ceremony, the Contest winner must nominate a representative to be present at the prize giving ceremony to accept the prize on his/her behalf.

18. Maybank reserves the right, at its sole and absolute discretion, to use nicknames, names, photographs or video recordings and entries of the Contest winners and /or representatives without first obtaining any consent nor make any payment whatsoever, to the Contest winners and /or representative for publicity, advertising, trade or promotional purpose in any media.

19. Maybank reserves the right to change, amend, delete or add to these Contest Terms and Conditions without prior notice at any time and the Contestants shall be bound by such changes.

20. Maybank will not be responsible or liable for:
i. Any problem, loss or damage of whatsoever nature suffered by any party due to any delay and/or failure receiving and sending entry form as a result of any network, communication or system error, interruption and/or failure experienced by the participating internet line and/or resulting from participation or the downloading any of materials in the Contest. In the event of such error, interruption and /or failure, Maybank shall not be responsible or liable for any failure by any Contestant to participate in the Contest at any time.
ii. Any problem, damage or loss of whatsoever nature to any Contestant, or their authorised representatives resulting from their participation in the Contest.
iii. Any errors(including notification of Contest winners), omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, internet line failure, theft, destruction, or unauthorised access of entries, PC hanging whether or not arising during operation or transmission as a result of server malfunction, virus, bugs or other causes outside its control.

21. The judges’ decision is final and correspondence will not be entertained.
