Terms & Conditions
1. The contest is valid only in Malaysia and Brunei, from 17th April 2007 – 10th June 2007.
2. The contest is open to all Malaysians and Brunei citizens, except for employees and immediate family members of KFC Holdings (M) Bhd., their business partners, affiliated companies, contest agency, public relations agency, advertising agency and other parties involved in this contest.
3. Purchase one (1) KFC Colonel Rice Combo and get one (1) KFC Colonel Rice Combo Home Makeover Contest form from any KFC outlet in Malaysia and Brunei. The Free Size-up from regular to large carbonated drink coupon is only applicable with the next KFC Colonel Rice Combo purchase. Only original coupon from the contest form is accepted. 4. . Original or photocopy copies of the KFC Colonel Rice Combo Home Makeover Contest form will be accepted. All entries must be accompanied by the proof of purchase - KFC original receipt which must include the KFC Colonel Rice Combo purchased between 17 April 2007 to 10 June 2007 (both dates inclusive).
5. Participants are required to guess the exact amount of full grain rice used to form the new KFC logo. Every care has been taken to ensure that the rice used are all full grain rice. In the event where there are broken grains during the forming of the logo, they will not be counted.
6. 50 finalists will be selected based on the exact match to the answer. In the event that number of finalists with the exact match is less than 50, the remaining finalists will be selected based on the nearest lower answer. In the event of a tie, finalists will be selected according to the earliest entry received.
7. 50 finalists will be selected to qualify for the Grand Prize challenge where only 10 winners will win RM50,000 each in home makeover prize. Finalists must make themselves present together with one (1) elected family member for the challenge that will be held following a routine set by the organiser. Expenses and/or costs incurred by a finalist for such attendance shall be borne by the finalist.
8. The Grand Prize winners must each spend RM50,000 with one (1) elected family member in one day, following the routine set by the organiser. If the winner is below 18 years old, his/her parent or guardian must be the elected family member and must be above 18 years old.
9. Delivery of Grand Prizes will take 4-6 weeks from the day of the home makeover shopping.
10. The remaining 40 finalists will win 30 pieces of KFC Rice Combo vouchers and shopping vouchers worth RM500 each.
11. Participants are required to fill in the answer and their personal details (i.e. name, new I/C number and telephone number) and proof of purchase (photocopies of receipts are not permitted) as required in the KFC Colonel Rice Combo Home Makeover Contest form.
12. All KFC Colonel Rice Combo Home Makeover Contest forms may be dropped into the contest boxes at any of the KFC outlets in Malaysia and Brunei by 10th June 2007 or sent to: KFC Colonel Rice Combo Home Makeover Contest 2007, P.O. Box 3113, 47509 Subang Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan by 18th June 2007. Only entries sent via normal mail to the PO Box address is accepted. Entries sent via dispatch, courier service, registered mail, POS Express or POS Laju will not be entertained.
13. Incomplete, damaged, illegible and late entries will be disqualified.
14. One winner is only entitled to win one prize. Prizes are not exchangeable with cash. Redemption of Free Size-up from regular to large carbonated drink coupon will not be entertained after 30th June 2007.
15. Costs incurred for the collection of prizes will be borne by the individual winners. Winners shall be solely responsible for any taxes or duties payable, insurance, delivery charges out of Peninsular Malaysia and other ancillary costs involved as a result of participation in this KFC Colonel Rice Combo Home Makeover Contest or winning or using any prize thereunder. Winners shall agree to indemnify and keep KFC Holdings (M) Bhd. sufficiently indemnified against any failure to remit the tax payable to the relevant authorities.
16. KFC Holdings (M) Bhd. reserves the right to end the contest at any time during the contest period.
17. KFC Holdings (M) Bhd. reserves the right to substitute a prize claimed with another prize of the same value, without giving prior notice.
18. All contest forms submitted will be the property of KFC Holdings (M) Bhd.
19. KFC Holdings (M) Bhd. reserves the right to use the name, address, photograph, particulars and/or documents of all winners for the purpose of advertising and all other forms of publicity from time to time. The winners may be required to attend the prize giving ceremony and/or participate in publicity programmes.
20. KFC Holdings (M) Bhd., all its business partners and other parties involved in this contest, including their directors, officers and/or agents are not liable in any way for the following: a) any additional expenses incurred for taking part in this contest; b) any sort of technical failure; c) intervention by unauthorised parties during the contest; d) electronic or human errors in the administration of contest and processing of entries; e) any entry that is lost, stolen, damaged, wrongly delivered or not received.
21. All Prize Winners are fully responsible for any injuries, damages or claims resulting from their participation in this contest or from the redemption of prizes. By accepting or collecting any prize, the winner agrees to indemnify KFC Holdings (M) Bhd., all its business partners, and/or other parties related to this contest, including their directors, officers, employees and agents from any claim, prosecution, judgement, damage, loss or liability incurred related to his/her participation in the contest, or his/her acceptance or redemption or use of any prize.
22. The contest Terms & Conditions are prepared in both English and Bahasa Malaysia. In the event of inconsistencies between both versions of the contest Terms & Conditions, the English version shall prevail.
23. By participating in this contest, participants agree to adhere strictly to the terms & conditions of this contest. All decisions made by the judges and organiser are final and binding. No correspondence will be entertained.
