“Sunshine” is a sci-fi thiller based on the premise that our Sun is slowly dying off.

It is 50 years from now and the sun’s energy is deteriorating. Mankind is dying with it. Our last hope is a spaceship and a crew of eight men and women. They carry a device that will breathe new life into the star. However, deep into their journey, they lose radio contact with Earth and their mission starts to unravel. There is an accident, a fatal mistake, and a distress beacon from a spaceship that disappeared seven years earlier. This may be the Earth's last hope.

“Sunshine” stars Malaysia’s own Bond Girl, Datuk Michelle Yeoh, with Cillian Murphy, Chris Evans, Troy Garity and Rose Byrne. The movie is directed by Danny Boyle and opens in cinemas on 12 April 2007.
