1. Eligibility for the Contest
1.1. To register for the Contest, participants must sign up as a CNET Asia member and give us their take on the future of computing. In addition, participants must agree to these terms and conditions.

1.2. Entries will be declared by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet Access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization (e.g. business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. All non-valid and incomplete contact details will be disqualified, at the discretion of the contest Organizer. The Contest is opened to participants residing in Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam.

1.3. Employees of CNET and their affiliated and subsidiary companies, its advertising/promotion agencies or other firms involved in the design or conduct of this game, their sales representatives, distributors, retailers, and members of the households or immediate families are not eligible to participate.

1.4. False and/or deceptive entries or acts shall render entrants ineligible.


2. Announcement of Results
2.1 The winner of "Digital Time Capsule Talkback Contest" will be notified within 15 days via the email provided at registration by the Winner. The result may be posted on the contest website.

2.2 The winner must acknowledge the email notification within 5 days from the date the email is sent by CNET otherwise CNET reserves the rights to select another winner.

2.3 The winner agrees his name and country/city of residence to be published in CNET Asia website as advertisement or marketing purpose. Other personal information will not be made public.


3. Contest Winner
3.1. Each registered participant (with valid email address) will be entitled to only ONE complete submission.

3.2. The winner with the best entry must furnish a valid email address and other personal particulars for collection of prizes.

3.3. The decisions made by CNET/or its appointed judges are final and binding in all manners and no appeals shall be entertained for any reasons whatsoever.


4. Collection of Prizes
4.1. The winner will be notified on method of prize collection after the results are posted. Prizes must be collected within 30 days of notification, failing which the winner shall forfeit the prize. In the event of such forfeiture, CNET shall select another winner or dispose of the prize in any way CNET deems fit.

4.2. CNET will not be responsible for any lost, late, incomplete, illegible, damaged or misdirected entries, or for any human or technical errors, failures or malfunctions in the transmission or receipt of Internet entries. The winner may be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility, and liability and publicity release where permitted within 3 days of notification of winning the prize. In the event of non-compliance with the Terms & Conditions or if the winner cannot be contacted at the email address given on the entry form or the prize is not collected within 30 days of notification to the winner, the prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner, at the discretion of the judges and contest Organizer.

4.3. The prize voucher is not exchangeable or redeemable for cash but transferable upon winner's request. The Organizer reserves the right to replace any prize with another of equivalent value without notice. The Organizer accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize values.

4.4. All ancillary costs, for example delivery charges, duties and other taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner.

4.5. By accepting the prize, the winner agrees that The Organizers, CNET, and their subsidiary and affiliated companies and their respective advertising, promotion and distribution agencies, hosting media, affiliates, officers, directors, and employees shall have no liability of any kind arising from or in connection with the acceptance, possession or use of the prizes awarded herein and acknowledges that said parties are not in any manner responsible or liable for any warranty, representation, or guarantee, expressed or implied, in fact or law, relative to any prize including but not limited to its quality, mechanical condition or fitness for a particular purpose. Acceptance of a prize further constitutes permission to use winner's name and likeness for publicity and advertising purposes worldwide without limitation and without additional compensation (except where prohibited).

4.6. CNET shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss), or for personal injury suffered or sustained, as a result of taking any of the prizes, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.


5. General
5.1. The Organizer reserves the right to, in its sole discretion, cancel or suspend the game should a virus, bugs or other causes beyond the control of the Organizer corrupt the administration, security or proper operation of the contest. The Organizer reserves the right to make any changes to the rules & regulations at any time without prior notification.

5.2. The Organizer makes no warranty, either express or implied, regarding this web site or any of its content, including but not limited to, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. The Organizer does not warrant that the content and delivery of this web site shall be free from errors, bugs or viruses, uninterrupted, or repairable if damaged or impaired.

5.3. All entries become the property of CNET. By entering the contest, the entrant irrevocably consents to the use of all information contained within the entry for marketing purposes by CNET. The entrant also irrevocably consents to information contained within the entry being made available to affiliates and authorized business partners of CNET, which may be outside Singapore. Demographic and profile data will also be collected and used to tailor user experience.

5.4. The laws of the Republic of Singapore shall govern the terms and conditions of this Contest.

CNET Networks Asia Pacific Pte Ltd reserves the right to make any changes to the rules & regulations at any time without prior notification.
